Clock Tower Tours | Brisbane City Hall
Enjoy a Clock Tower Tour for a special insight into the newly restored Brisbane City Hall, one of Brisbanes most iconic buildings and the symbolic heart of our city.
Clock Tower Tours
Tours operate daily taking visitors up the Brisbane City Hall Clock Tower in a beautiful, old, hand-operated lift, providing a birds-eye view of the city.
The clock tower has been in operation since the opening of City Hall in 1930, and is 92 metres high with an observation platform at 76 metres, which people can walk out onto to absorb the unique view of Brisbane. Our city is ever-changing - what better a platform to watch from. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of visitors have taken a ride up to the clock tower. Whilst the view from the observation deck has changed significantly over the past 80 years, it is still a time-honoured tradition which will continue with the new Museum of Brisbane.
Come and explore a small but integral part of Brisbanes history. Were conveniently located in King George Square, right in the city centre.
During peak times that there may be a wait for Brisbane City Hall Clock Tower tours due to demand and limited space. Only eight people can fit into the lift, including the lift operator. Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We advise you arrive early to avoid disappointment - particularly during school holidays and public holidays.
The clock tower lift and tower are not air conditioned and the temperature can get quite high in these areas where you are required to ascend two flights of stairs to the platform area. Care should be taken to ensure you are adequately hydrated ahead of this 15 minute tour.
Daily, 10.15am - 4.45pm, every 15 minutes.
Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis. You can obtain a ticket in person on the day at the Museum of Brisbane reception counter on level 3. We advise you arrive early to avoid disappointment - particularly during school holidays and public holidays, as allocations are often exhausted during these busy periods.
