Cazalys Stadium

Cazalys Stadium is situated in Cairns, North Queensland, and plays host to Australian Football, Cricket as well as Rugby League.

The venue has a main grandstand and additional seating on the western side plus a hill that surrounds the rest of the ground with a total capacity of around 13,500.

The grandstand was previously located at the Gabba behind the goals before that ground was redevelopment. It was transported up to Cairns re-built to be the centre-piece of Cazalys Stadium.

The venue was formerly known as Bundaberg Rum Stadium for a few years following a naming rights agreement. That has since expired and the name has reverted back to what it was original known as.

Cazalys Stadium played host to International Cricket, two North Queensland Cowboys NRL games in 2001 attracting sell-out crowds, it has also played host to several pre-season AFL games and will host its first regular-season AFL game in 2011 when the Gold Coast host Richmond.
