Brisbane Airport

Brisbane Airport

Brisbane Airport is the front door to Queensland and the third largest airport in Australia on passenger numbers, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week

It is Australias largest capital city airport (by land size), operating two major terminals which service 27 airlines flying to 43 national and 29 international destinations.

Last financial year Brisbane Airport welcomed more than 21 million passengers (nearly the entire population of Australia) through its terminals.

There is also more than 420 businesses located at the airport with a combined workforce of more than 19,000 people (similar to the total population of some of Australias regional cities such as Armidale in Northern NSW). Workers at the airport are expected to grow to 50,000 by 2029.

Brisbane Airport is consistently recognised as a leading airport nationally and internationally.

Some of the accolades have included being recognised as one of the best privatised airports in the world in the IATA Eagle Award in 2005 and the Skytrax Awards in 2009; and the best Australian airport for overall quality of service, standards and facilities for eight years in a row (ranked by the ACCC).
